Creating Auxiliary Radial Grid

Auxiliary radial grids are only visible in EPLAN Harness proD Library, not in EPLAN Harness proD Studio, and they are used mainly for placing objects.

  1. Click the Create auxiliary radial grid button on the toolbar or select the Insert > Auxiliary radial grid menu items.
  2. Select one of the Construction aids options in the command bar.
  3. Left-click to determine the center point of the auxiliary radial grid.
  4. In the Input mode group box, enter the value for the radius into the Radius field. Or drag the mouse to specify the radial grid's radius.
  5. Enter the number of wedges of the auxiliary radial grid in the No. of rays field.
  6. Enter the value for the distance between the circles of the auxiliary radial grid in the Circle distance field.
  7. Left-click to place the auxiliary radial grid.

As soon as the last point of the grid is placed, the command is terminated.
  8. Select the auxiliary radial grid either in the 3D window or in the tree view to change its properties in the properties panel.

Note:

When placing objects, you can choose to place them freely, on a key point, anywhere on a particular surface, or anywhere on a particular plane. You can also combine these options, e.g. you can choose to place an object on a particular plane and then on a particular key point on that plane. Just use the corresponding button or shortcut.
