The fan point is a typical bundle-, surface protection- or cable-specific control point or any control point from which wires or cable wires are branched off to a point of connection pinss, auxiliary pins). Once a fan point is selected in the nailboard, several properties are displayed and can be edited in the properties panel.
Note:
The fan point is available in nailboards.
General properties
- Name: Control point name in the nailboard tree view.
- Layer: Select the desired layer from the drop-down list of available layers. By clicking on the Default layer option, the default layer is automatically assigned to the fan point.
Display properties
- Line type: Type of line stroke (continuous, dashed, dotted, etc.). The desired type can be selected from the drop-down list.
- Color: Color of the object.
- Line thickness: Width of the object lines.
- Font: Setting of font, font size, and font style for the pin description.
Advanced properties
This section contains the object-specific properties.
- Avoid display configuration: If activated, applying a display configuration has no effect on the fan point.
- Fan-in: Wires are not shown individually, but are connected to a Connectable object in a direct line and appear as a single line.
- Fan-out: Wires are shown individually with an angle distance. Then each wire leads to its respective pin.
- Wire span: The overall angle distance between the first and the last wire. Changing this value will change the Wire spacing value.
- Wire spacing: Angle distance between the individual wires. Changing this value will change the Wire span value.
- Note type: Determines which information is to be shown in the pin note.
- Direction: Angle of all wires branched off the fan point.
- Show units: Displays the units within the Pin note and Inner pin note fields.
- Align text: If activated, the texts of pin notes and inner pin notes are aligned.
- Pin note: Shows / hides the pin note (the text defined in the Note type drop-down list.
- Inner pin note: If activated, a default pin note is used. If deactivated, the following properties become available:
- Inner note type: Determines the text displayed within inner pin notes.
- Inner note prefix: Determines the prefix of inner pin note.
- Alignment: Determines the alignment of the pin inner note. This option is available when the check box Align text is activated.
- Offset: Determines the default offset of the pin inner note. The offset can be defined when Top or Bottom option is set in Alignment.
Position properties
- Position [x,y]: Displays the X and Y coordinate values.
User-defined properties
Several predefined user-defined properties can be added to the table such as the Behavior in fire, Installation time, Color properties, etc., or you can add (create) your own user-defined property.
