Pair cross-reference contacts

Electrical engineering

A pair cross-reference contact is a single contact or a row of contacts that is usually inserted in the operating line of a main function (circuit breaker, motor overload switch, switch disconnector). A pair cross-reference contact assignment forms a type of manually drawn contact image. To this purpose one or more contacts are placed duplicated in the schematic. To make a contact to a pair cross-reference contact, after placement you must select the "pair cross-reference" representation type at the symbol. The original contact (that the cross-reference refers to) remains unchanged.
