Ignore missing bus ID
In the property dialog of bus ports the new property Ignore missing bus ID (ID 20412) is available (Bus data tab, Properties of the network interface group box). If this property is activated at a bus port, the missing bus ID is ignored during the execution of check run 004037, and no check run message is issued for this bus port.
Benefit:
By activating this property you obtain a project free of errors, if you use devices in bus systems that do not require a bus ID.
Subnet mask
The new property Subnet mask (ID 20446) is available in the property dialog of bus ports and PLC boxes. The subnet mask defines the splitting of a bus ID (IP address within an Ethernet-based bus system) into a network component and a device / station component. The subnet mask can be used to specify how many devices can be addressed within a subnet.
Benefit:
The subnet mask of devices can be preconfigured in EPLAN and transferred to the PLC configuration program via the PLC Data Exchange in AutomationML Format.
The property can be displayed in the list of properties in the Bus data or PLC structure data tab. This property is available for you for display in the PLC navigator and in the device navigator as well as for external editing, for editing in a table and in reports, etc.
Bus system
The drop-down list of the property Bus system (ID 20308), has been expanded by the following bus systems:
- CC-Link IE Field Basic
- ET connection
- SSI.
This property is available in the property dialog of bus ports (tab Bus data) and PLC boxes (tab PLC structure data).
