Using the Hatch Editor in Nailboard / Cable Drawing

In Harness proD Library, a hatch can be assigned to any type of surface protection. In the Harness proD Studio settings, a hatch can be assigned to bundles / cables and also to any type of surface protection. Changes of the hatch made in a nailboard / cable drawing do not affect the hatch in EPLAN Harness proD Library.

Prerequisite:

You have selected an object in the nailboard / cable drawing.

  1. In the Display section of the object's properties panel, open the Hatch drop-down list and click [Edit].

The Hatch editor dialog is opened.
  2. Enter the name of the hatch in the Name field.

The graphical preview is updated according to the changes made in the dialog, with the rectangle representing the path (surface protection, bundle, etc.).
  3. Activate the Enable check box of the Outline group box if you want to determine the following properties: The Shape property lets you select the shape of the outline, the Distance property determines the distance in between the shapes of the outline, the Width and Height properties determine the density and size of the shape respectively, the Thickness property specifies the line thickness of the shape, and the Offset property determines the offset from the path (surface protection, bundle, etc.).
  4. Activate the Baseline check box of the Outline group box if there is to be a line between the shape and the path (surface protection, bundle, etc.).
  5. Activate the Enable check box of the First line group box if a first hatch is to be determined, and then specify the Angle property for the angle of the hatch, the Distance property for the distance of the hatch, the Thickness property for the line thickness of the hatch, and the Offset property for the offset of the hatch.
  6. Activate the Enable check box of the Second line property if a second hatch is to be determined. It has the same properties as the first hatch.
  7. By defining an offset for both hatches, two parallel hatches can be defined.
  8. Click [OK] to save the changes and close the Hatch editor dialog.
