Flexible tubing is a plastic corrugated tubing manufactured in different sizes. Flexible tubing offers excellent protection for wire harnesses, cables, tubing, and hoses. It is very light in weight, has great flexibility, and provides protection against abrasion, puncture, vibration, and friction. It also protects against heat, sunlight, water, snow, ice, salt, and automotive fluids. It's one type of surface protection.
Surface protection can be placed onto bundles. You can place one surface protection on two or more bundles which are connected by using the Stretch surface protection function or the Shrink surface protection function.
The source objects are placed either automatically between two end points or manually between any two control points or end points on the target objects. The source objects are placed either on an existing target object, or they can be placed freely in the working window, and other source objects can be led through them later. In such a case, they will be created together with a bundle.
Concerning the diameter check task, the following properties are taken into account: Inside diameter, Fill ratio, and Currently filled. The Currently filled value is calculated on the basis of the Fill ratio and Inside diameter values.
If the Inside diameter value is 10 mm and the Fill ratio value is 100% and an object with a 7 mm diameter is routed through the flexible tubing, then the Currently filled value is 70 %.
If the routed object had a diameter of 12 mm, the Currently filled value would be 120%.
