Placing Loops

Loops are used to store the additional length of cables or wires. Loops can be used on control points of bundles (including those with surface protections), cables, or wires. They inherit the Wire harness ID property of the object on which they are placed.

  1. Select the Insert > Place loop menu items or the button on the toolbar.

If a suitable control point has been selected before clicking this button, the loop will be placed at the control point immediately.
  2. Click on a suitable control point.

The loop will be placed at the specified control point.
  3. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Place loop button again, if desired.

Properties

Existing loops can be edited in the Properties panel. Loops have the following unique properties:

Note:

The length of the loop is included in the length of the bundle, cable or wire the loop is attached to.
