Using the Decoration Editor

Multiple so-called "decorations" can be added to nailboard / cable drawing objects. Certain display conditions determine when the entire decoration is displayed. They can be defined independently for texts, external values, and symbols.

  1. Select the Tools > Nailboard / cable drawing display configuration set editor menu items.
  2. Select the desired nailboard / cable drawing object.
  3. Click the (Add decoration) button.
  4. Into the Name field, enter the name of the decoration.
  5. In the Display condition field, define the condition for when to display or not to display the decoration.

    Note:

Note that a Boolean condition (true / false) must be defined last.

  6. Enter text into the Text field. The text will then be displayed within the object.
  7. In the External value field, define the value of the object.

    Note:

Note that a text value must be defined last.

  8. In the Symbol field, define a 2D symbol from the library.
  9. From the Font drop-down list, select the font to be used for both text and external value.
  10. From the Orientation drop-down list, select the orientation of the decoration in relation to the object.
  11. From the Rotation drop-down list, select the rotation of the decoration in relation to the object.
  12. In the Priority field, determine the sort order of the decorations.

If multiple decorations with the same orientation are used, they will be sorted on the basis of their priority. The top priority decoration is always going to be closest to the connectable object. If all decorations have the same priority, they will be sorted alphabetically.
  13. Click [OK] to create the decoration.
