The Control point function allows for placing an extra (user-defined) control point on bundles or cables. Adding such a control point can, e.g., be useful when moving wire harness segments.
Notes:
- This command is available in the nailboard .
- A control point cannot be placed on a ribbon cable since the shape of the ribbon cable in the nailboard is determined by its folds.
- Select the Insert > Control point menu items or the button on the toolbar.
- Select a bundle or cable (if not preselected) on which you want to add the control point by clicking.
- Determine the position of the control point by moving it along the bundle / cable and clicking on the desired location. You can also determine the position in the command bar.
- Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Place control point button again, if desired.
Note:
When entering coordinates in the command bar, these might be adjusted automatically since a control point must be on a cable / bundle.
