Managing Library Connections

To use predefined parts, at least one library should be assigned to each project. Assigning libraries is realized by library connections.

  1. Click the Library connections link below the Active library field of the project-specific General info tab.

    The Open library dialog is displayed.
  2. Select the desired library and click [OK].
  3. Or use the [Add] button to open a file selection dialog and browse to the desired connection. By default, connections are stored in the <drive>:\Documents and Settings\<your user account>\Documents\<Harness proD folder>\Connections directory.
  4. Or use the [Connect] button to open the Create library dialog and decide whether a File system-based library or an MS SQL server library library type is to be created.

    The New library wizard leads you through the individual steps for creating a library.
  5. Click [Remove] to remove a selected library from the list.
  6. Repeat the steps to assign another library, if desired.
