The Raster with positions functionality is a sort of grid with marked positions, used to accurately place and locate objects. Only one raster-with-positions grid can be placed in the working window.
To move the raster grid, click on any line and drag the grid to a new location. To change the properties of the raster, either click on one of the raster's lines or select the Raster with positions node (below the Backgrounds level) in the tree view.
The properties panel displays the following properties:

The raster grid is printed together with the nailboard / cable drawing. It is used to position and locate objects since all the cells are numbered. Positions of individual wires (labels of raster cells where they start and end) within the nailboard / cable drawing can be displayed in the Position column (if set to be displayed) of the wire list.
- Select the Insert > Raster with positions menu items or the button on the toolbar.
- Click anywhere in the working window to place the raster grid, or enter the X and Y coordinates of its bottom left-hand corner in the command bar.
