Resource-driven development

Resource-driven development can be distinguished from model-driven development primarily by the procedure that is followed in generating the elements. The resources constitute the first step in resource-driven development. These serve as a basis for generating discipline-specific components. The discipline-specific components, in turn, serve as a basis for the mechatronic components. This is often referred to as the bottom up development of a modular system. The subsequent test takes place at the mechatronic configuration levels
