2D Pins

2D pins are automatically created in the 2D window. They represent a 3D pin in a 2D window. If they are set to be visible in the 2D window and within the connectable object symbol in the nailboard display configuration set, they are displayed in the nailboard (as are the wire symbols if they are assigned to the particular nailboard display configuration set). 2D pins are projected from the XY plane in the 3D window into the XY plane in the 2D window. The shape of 2D pins (round or square) depends on the setting made under Settings > 2D environment > 2D pins. 2D pins are available for connectors, connectable objects, terminals, and special components. Some properties and the shape of 2D pins can be changed in the properties panel. The position in the 2D window can also be changed via the Move command.
