Multiple objects can be moved / rotated at once. This includes objects such as connectors, leading parts, special components, housings, backshells, etc. which can be moved / rotated in the workspace / workdesk working window and the control points of paths (bundles, cables, wires, any type of surface protection). Even whole paths can be moved / rotated. To do so, the path must be selected first.
Objects can be moved / rotated in global workspace / workdesk coordinates or in object-specific local coordinates.
- Select the Edit > Move / Edit > Rotate menu items or the (Move) or (Rotate) button on the main toolbar and then the desired object(s) or vice versa.
- In the Coordinate system section of the command bar select the Global or Local (object) coordinate system option.
- In the Position section of the command bar enter a value and click [OK] to move / rotate the object along the desired axis by the specified value.
The command remains active. - To move / rotate the object along a particular axis, just drag the axis handler with the mouse in the desired direction in the workdesk / workspace working window.
- Terminate the Rotate / Move command by clicking [Cancel] in the command bar.
Note:
When rotating a ribbon cable control point which has a simple folding set, a special handler is displayed. Using this handler it is possible to specify the control point's in- and outgoing vector and the angle independently.
