The installation is carried out as follows:
- Copy the setup file to the workstation.
- Execute the setup file to start the setup.
- Follow the instructions of the setup wizard.
Important steps to migrate to version 2.5
- To migrate to version 2.5 a model update must be performed (see Updating a model).
- The following arguments for the Java Virtual Machine have to be changed, if they are set in the initialization file (for example ec.ini).
- The calls of the following commands should be adjusted, because they are no longer stored in the Customizing_Engineering library, but are now part of other system libraries:
Previous name of the argument | New name of the argument |
---|---|
de.eplan.eec.jobserver.jobdefinitionsfolder | de.eplan.eec.jobserver.worker.jobdefinitionsfolder |
de.eplan.eec.jobserver.jobserver.htmlroot | de.eplan.eec.jobserver.htmlroot |
de.eplan.eec.jobserver.jobserver.port | de.eplan.eec.jobserver.port |
de.eplan.eec.jobServer.maxConcurrentJobs | de.eplan.eec.jobserver.worker.maxconcurrentjobs |
de.eplan.eec.jobserver.worker.autoStart | de.eplan.eec.jobserver.worker.autostart |
de.eplan.eec.jobserver.rest.aliasUrl | de.eplan.eec.jobserver.aliasurl |
Command | New in system library |
---|---|
ForcefulEOXImportCommand | Engineering |
ImportCSVCommand | Engineering |
OpenResourceCommand | Engineering |
SendMailCommand | Engineering |
MarkFileForDownloadCommand | JobServer |
PutResultCommand | JobServer |
SetProgressMessageCommand | JobServer |
Additional installation steps for data back end with EOX file:
After the installation, the following change must be made to the initialization file ec.ini, so that an EOX file is accessed for data back end, rather than the default FastObjects database:
- Open the file <Installation folder>/ec.ini with any editor (e.g., Notepad).
- Change the following entry in the ec.ini file to start EEC with a designated FastObjects database:
before: -Dorg.foederal.sn.connectionURL=proxy://any
after: -Dorg.foederal.sn.connectionURL=fastobjects://LOCAL/db
Afterwards EEC has to be licensed, bevore it can start (see Licensing and Starting).
