In EPLAN Pro Panel there is now a new interface with which you can export geometric data of three-dimensionally designed enclosures of one or more layout spaces in the open data standard IFC
Benefit:
The IFC data standard makes it possible to export 3D data of enclosures for the digital planning method for 3D building models called BIM
To export the enclosure data, select the layout space or layout spaces or the entire project in the layout space navigator as the source of the 3D data to be output. Subsequently, select the following commands in the Backstage view: File > Export > Command group Project data > Layout space > IFC.
An export scheme can be selected, edited or a new scheme created in the export dialog that opens via the Scheme field. The scheme settings allow you to define the output directory, the generation of the name for the export file, and subdirectories. In addition you can use a four-level slide control to specify the Degree of detailing of the 3D model during the IFC export.
Among other things, the data of the following properties of enclosures are exported:
- Height, width and depth of the cuboid that encases the enclosed enclosure including base and other elements projecting outwards.
- Largest extension with opened enclosure door (only graphical)
- Weight (full) (ID 22233)
Notes:
- One export file with the file extension *.ifc is generated in the output directory per layout space.
- Entire layout spaces are always exported, with multiple selection of layout spaces being permitted. The export of an individual enclosure in a layout space or the export of individual items in an enclosure is not possible.
- Only part placements with the "Enclosure" function definition are exported.
