Transferring a single-user license
The help for the licensing supports you as a user with the activation, return and transfer of the single-user license of an EPLAN product.
If you want to use EPLAN on a new computer, you must perform a transfer of the license. The transfer of a license consists of returning the license on the old computer and activating the same license on the new computer.
1. Returning a single-user license
Returning a single-user license - with Internet connection
Preconditions:
- The computer on which the licensing is being performed has an Internet connection!
- EPLAN Rehost is installed in the same version on both computers. Information on this topic is available here.
- You have an
Entitlement ID (EID) . Information on this topic is available here.
Return
- Double-click the program icon on the desktop to start
EPLAN Rehost . - Select the
Revocation tab. - Select the
Complete Revoke (online) option. - Click
Next . - Enter the
Entitlement ID (EID) into the fieldEntitlement ID (EID) . - Click the
Complete Revoke button. - Click
Close . - The license has been returned successfully.

Returning a single-user license - without Internet connection
Preconditions:
- The computer on which the licensing is being performed does not have an Internet connection.
- The second computer has an Internet connection.
- USB stick is available.
- EPLAN Rehost is installed in the same version on both computers. Information on this topic is available here.
- You have an
Entitlement ID (EID) . Information on this topic is available here.
1. Creating a return request (Revocation Request)
Perform the following steps at the computer without Internet connection:
- Double-click the program icon on the desktop to start
EPLAN Rehost . - Select the
Revocation tab. - Select the
Step 1: Create Revocation Request option underManual Revoke . - Click
Next . - Enter the
Entitlement ID (EID) into the fieldEntitlement ID (EID) . - Click the
Create Revocation Request button. - Save the
Revocation Request file on a USB stick. Click Save. - Click
Close .

2. Creating an acceptance file (Permission Ticket)
Perform the following steps at a computer with Internet connection:
- Double-click the program icon on the desktop to start
EPLAN Rehost . - Select the
Revocation tab. - Select the
Step 2: Download Permission Tickets (online) option underManual Revoke . - Click
Next . - Connect the USB stick with the
Revocation Request file to this computer. - Click the [...] button and select the
Revocation Request file on the USB stick. - Click Open.
- Click the
Download Permission Tickets button. - Save the
Permission Ticket file on a USB stick. Click Save. - Click
Close .

3. Performing a return (Revocation Ticket)

Next . - Connect the USB stick with the
Permission Ticket file to this computer. - Click the [...] button and select the
Permission Ticket file on the USB stick. - Click Open.

4. Confirming a return (Upload Revocation Tickets)

Next . - Connect the USB stick with the
Revocation Ticket file to this computer. - Click the [...] button and select the
Revocation Ticket file on the USB stick. - Click Open.
- Click the
Upload Revocation Tickets button. - Click
Close . - The license has been returned successfully.

2. Activating a single-user license
Activating a single-user license - with Internet connection
Preconditions:
- The computer on which the licensing is being performed has an Internet connection!
- The EPLAN product is installed and is started for the first time. The dialog for licensing appears.
- You have an
Entitlement ID (EID) . Information on this topic is available here.
Activate
Initial installation
- Start the EPLAN product by double-clicking the program icon.
- Select the option With an online activation.
- Click OK.
- Enter the
Entitlement ID (EID) into the fieldEntitlement ID (EID) . - Click OK.
- Check whether the license content is complete.
- Click Activate.
- Click Close.
- Click OK.
- The license has been activated successfully.
- The EPLAN product starts.
The Activate license dialog is opened.

The activation starts; a scroll bar is displayed.
The Activate license dialog opens and confirms the activation.
With existing installation
- Start the EPLAN product while holding down the Shift key and double-click the program icon.
- Select the following menu items: Single-user license > Activate license online.
- Enter the
Entitlement ID (EID) into the fieldEntitlement ID (EID) . - Click OK.
- Check whether the license content is complete.
- Click Activate.
- Click
Yes : - Click
No : - Click Close.
- Click OK.
- The license has been activated successfully.
- The EPLAN product starts.

3a. Performing licensing during initial installation
Perform the following steps at the computer without Internet connection:
- Start the EPLAN product by double-clicking the program icon.
- Select the Load activated licenses option.
- Click OK.
- Connect the USB stick with the
Iservrc_* file to this computer. - Select the
Iservrc_* file on the USB stick. - Click Open.
- Click Load.
- Click Close.
- Click OK.
- The license has been activated successfully.
- The EPLAN product is started.
The Activate license dialog is opened.

The Import license dialog opens and confirms the activation.
3b. Performing licensing for an existing installation
Perform the following steps at the computer without Internet connection:
- Start the EPLAN product while holding down the Shift key and double-click the program icon.
- Select the following menu items: Single-user license > Load activated licenses...
- Connect the USB stick with the
Iservrc_* file to this computer. - Select the
Iservrc_* file on the USB stick. - Click Open.
- Click Load.
- Click Close.
- Click OK.
- The license has been activated successfully.
- The EPLAN product is started.

The Import license dialog opens and confirms the activation.
