The button is located at all points at which you can work with formulas. Click the button to open a formula editor for the corresponding input box. The formula editor is divided into the areas Text editor and Form editor.
Form editor
Both areas are available to you for editing of formulas for controlling the Visibility of configuration variables and the Status of a macro. You do not enter the formula yourself in the Form editor. Instead you define the conditions by selecting the corresponding configuration variables, operators and values from the drop-down lists and linking them. The formula is generated automatically on the basis of your selection.
Text editor
You can edit all other formulas solely in the Text editor. The Text editor offers you, apart from the classic formula entry, many additional editing options:
- Multi-line input with more overview
- IntelliSense (automatic completion)
- Syntax highlighting (The different elements of the formulas are highlighted in color.)
- Find and replace
- Diverse convenience functions
Notes
- Detailed information on the usage of the Text editor can be found under the following link: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/codebasics
- As soon as you save a formula in the Form editor, you can not edit it further.
- The Form editor is available as of the Advanced module package.
