The Project Builder: Basics

In the Project Builder you configure the configurators that were defined in the Designer. Depending on the configurator and the set of rules on which it based you generate the project documentation for different product variants in just a few steps.

Configuration of a configurator is carried out in three steps:

First you specify the target project. Several options are available to this purpose:

When you create a new target project, further entry fields for properties are shown to define your new projects. Specify the following properties for your project:

You also have the possibility to specify whether you want to overwrite an existing project or not.

Second you select the configurator that you want to use to generate the project documentation.

Subsequently you configure the Macro-Typicals or Typical-Groups that exist in the Configurator. In this context you always have to configure elements that you require for the desired product variants. By this means you generate the project documentation piece-by-piece.

After you have configured all the Macro-Typicals and have generated the corresponding parts of the project, you can view the complete project documentation in the EPLAN platform. If necessary, you can then edit the project documentation as usual.
