Predefined values

Definition:

You specify predefined values for configuration variables. If you specify predefined values for a configuration variable, the engineer can only select from these values in Project Builder and not enter values freely. Predefined values must always correspond to the type of the configuration variable for which they are defined.

ClosedExamples:
  • You can only specify integer values for a configuration variable of the type Integer.
  • You can specify literals and numerals for a configuration variable of the type String. However, if you enter numerals, these are not processed as numbers. The numeral then serves solely as a designation.
