Creating Arcs through 3 Points

An arc is a segment of a circle. An arc through three points intersects three points. To create an arc through three points, you can use the mouse and the keyboard. Both techniques can be combined.

Using the mouse

  1. Click the Arc through 3 points button on the toolbar.
  2. Determine the first point by clicking on the desired location in the 2D working window.
  3. Determine the other two points in the same way.

    The arc is created after the third key point is determined, between the first and the second key points.
  4. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Arc through 3 points button again, if desired.

Using the command bar

  1. Click the Arc through 3 points button on the toolbar.
  2. Determine the X and Y coordinates of the first point in the command bar and confirm with [OK].
  3. Determine the second and third points in the same way.
  4. Click [OK] to complete the arc.
  5. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Arc through 3 points button again, if desired.
