The 3D environment consists of a 3D navigation panel, a 3D working window, a 3D properties panel, and the corresponding menus and toolbars.
3D navigation panel
It is displayed below the 3D window header in the left-hand side bar (default) when the 3D environment is active. It displays the current content of the 3D working window in the form of a tree view.
With the [Ctrl] key pressed down you can make a selection of several objects at once. When selecting objects in the navigation panel, you can also use the [Shift] key for multiple selection; in this case, all objects in between the clicked ones will be selected.
3D working window
This is the place where the models are created. It is situated in the center of the EPLAN Harness proD Library screen (default) just below the tab of the currently opened library item.
To pan, zoom, and rotate objects and views within the 3D working window it is possible to use a 3D mouse such as SpaceTraveler, SpacePilot, SpacePilot PRO, or SpaceExplorer.
3D properties panel
It is displayed in the right-hand side bar (default) and shows the properties of the currently selected 3D objects. These can be edited to better suit your needs. See 3D Object Properties for details.
Expanding / collapsing a particular node
To expand a particular node in the 3D navigation panel, press [+] on the keyboard. To collapse a particular node in the 3D navigation panel, press [-] on the keyboard.
Expanding / collapsing multiple nodes
To expand a particular node together with all of its subnodes in the 3D navigation panel at once, press [*] on the keyboard. To collapse all nodes in the 3D navigation panel at once, press [/] on the keyboard.
