Two nailboards can be compared for differences such as change of lengths, source / target connection change, etc. The criteria for the comparison are determined in the Compare documents wizard.
Prerequisite:
You have selected the desired nailboard in the Project structure tab.
- Right-click and select the Compare popup menu item.
The Compare documents wizard is opened, with the selected nailboard being grayed. - Select the second nailboard, i.e. the one for comparison, by clicking.
The [Next] button becomes accessible. - Click [Next].
- In the next step, select the objects to be compared by activating the corresponding check boxes.
- Click [Next].
- Select the properties to be compared and click [Finish].
The Comparison result tab is opened in the properties panel of the first-selected nailboard. - Click the name of the second nailboard in the Comparison result tab to open the second nailboard (unless it has already been opened).
- When either nailboard is updated, click Update to update the results.
The results are displayed in the Comparison result table. - Select a changed entry in the Comparison result table to highlight the object in the nailboard working window.
- Double-click a changed entry in the table to zoom to the object in the nailboard working window.
Or right-click a changed entry in the table and select the Zoom to popup menu item to zoom in on the object in the nailboard working window. - Left-click on the header of any column in the Comparison result table to sort the results in ascending / descending order.
- Click Export to export the results to a file.
The Save as dialog is opened for you to browse to a suitable location, assign a name, and determine the file type.
