The Plugins section of the Settings dialog allows third party plugins to be added to EPLAN Harness proD Library and Studio applications. Plugins are developed using the EPLAN Harness proD API and they are packaged inside .dll plugin files. Each plugin file can contain multiple plugins.

A plugin has one or more designated modules (such as Library, Studio or just Workspace or Nailboard) where these plugins are available for use. In these areas of EPLAN Harness proD, these plugins may be found in the Plugins menu bar item.

Adding and removing plugins

To add plugins to EPLAN Harness proD select the Add plugins file button and select the appropriate .dll plugin file. Plugin files can be added only from local storage, not from network shared storage. Note that newly added plugins will be available once the application has been restarted.

To remove plugins select a plugin file and use the Remove plugins file button to remove it from EPLAN Harness proD.

Plugin file properties

Plugin files have the following properties:

• Enabled: Toggle to enable/disable a plugin.
• Name: Name of a plugin.
• Version: Version of a plugin.
• Modules: EPLAN Harness proD environments where the plugin is available.

Plugin versions

EPLAN Harness proD API is updated as new features are added to EPLAN Harness proD. This may cause old plugins to become unusable in new versions of EPLAN Harness proD. If this occurs, the user is notified with the following dialog: The plugins DLL file was created with a different version of EPLAN Harness proD. Please report this issue to the plugin creator.
