Dialog Mounting grid

In this dialog, you can set the properties of a mounting grid. Mounting grids are assigned to individual areas of a 3D part placement, and during the placement of other components are displayed on these areas. Thus, placement is only possible on the intersections of the grid lines. Using the mounting grid, it is possible to represent a manufacturer and type-specific hole pattern, for example, on enclosure profiles, within which screw connections are set during the mounting.

The grid points defined in the dialog always refer to the origin of the area, which is displayed by means of a coordinate system.

The following dialog elements are available:

Group box X direction

First grid point:

The first grid point defines the distance from the origin in the X direction at which the grid starts.

Next grid point:

Distance of the following grid point from the first grid point in the X direction.

Number of grid rows:

Number of times the grid increment defined by the two grid points in the X direction is repeated.

The grid extends to the end of the mounting surface if in the drop-down list you select the value "No limitation".

Number of grid rows in the X- and Y-direction may not be 1 simultaneously!

Group box Y direction

First grid point:

The first grid point defines the distance from the origin in the Y direction at which the grid starts.

Next grid point:

Distance of the following grid point from the first grid point in the Y direction.

Number of grid rows:

Number of times the grid increment defined by the two grid points in the Y direction is repeated.

The grid extends to the end of the mounting surface if in the drop-down list you select the value "No limitation".

Number of grid rows in the X- and Y-direction may not be 1 simultaneously!
