New "Length" Column for Assemblies and Modules

If you use assemblies and / or modules that contain parts with length specifications (for example cables or hoses), you can now store lengths that are then also output in the reports at the assemblies and / or modules in the parts management.

The new column Length is available to this purpose in the respective table in the tabs Assembly and Module. Input in this column is only possible for parts with length specifications (for example cables, connections, lines / conduits, hoses). For such a part, for example a cable, you can enter a part of the length here that you have stored at the part itself.

If a module is inserted as a device into the schematic, the length entered here for the individual part is transferred into the part reference property Subset / length (ID 31008) of the corresponding function and can be output in reports.

In order for this also to happen during inserting or during the part selection of assemblies, the assemblies have to be broken up. To this purpose you have to activate the Break up assembly check box in the user-defined settings for the part selection and parts management (the menu path for the settings dialog is, for example: Options > Settings > User > Management > Parts).
