Sequence of Representation Types for Global Editing and Reporting

If a function has multiple representation types whose common properties contain differing data, a decision is made based on the representation type about which properties will be included in global editing and reporting. EPLAN has a fixed sequence for this. For the Editing sequence of grouped objects there is also a fixed sequence.

Sequence for functions

This is the sequence of representation types used by EPLAN for including the common properties of all representation types for a function in Properties (global) mode:

EPLAN therefore first takes the properties of the multi-line representation type. If the function has no multi-line representation type or if the associated multi-line representation type field for the property is empty, EPLAN includes the property of the overview function, etc.

For global editing activities, properties in other representation types are only synchronized if there are already entries in the respective fields. Empty fields remain empty.

When reporting and synchronizing functions that have multiple representation types and whose common properties contain differing data, the properties are taken into consideration in the same order as with global editing.
