Shields

Electrical engineering

Shields hinder or reduce the infiltration or radiation of electrical or magnetic fields.
Shields can occur within cables in various forms. The outer or complete shield encases all of the conductors of a cable. It can be either one-sided, double-sided, or unattached.
In addition to the complete shield, you also have the shields for individual and multiple conductors. Conductors are often shielded in pairs. Physically different forms of shields can occur in one cable. These interior shields can also be either one-sided, double-sided or unattached.
