Outlines of the Outline extrusion type make up the basic form of a user-defined rail. For the placement of the rail, the position of the outline origin and the location of the outline are of importance. Based on the position of the origin in the outline, a placement area is generated on the user-defined rail that corresponds to the mounting surfaces of the component that is to be placed on the rail.
(1) Point of origin; this is where the handle is when placing the rail
(2) Notional placement area; this area is placed when placing the rail on a mounting surface.
The rail, based on the outline with the mapped origin position, can be placed vertically or horizontally, for example, on a mounting panel.
