Routing Connections: Distances between Routing Paths and Items

When determining the most optimal routing tracks, the distance of routing tracks and items is especially important. Internally a minimum distance between the item and the entry point of the connection to the routing path is specified at 10 mm. If the minimum distance was underpassed it was, however, possible that unexpectedly long routing tracks were created or the connection was not routed.

For this reason a new, dynamic calculation of the routing tracks depending on the distances and wire properties was taken as a basis. The program automatically tries to calculate an optimum routing track if the minimum distance between routing track and items is in the range between 10 mm and the radius of the connection. In the process the diameter and the minimum bending radius of the wire are included in the calculation.
