Finding Objects in the Insert Center

If you want to restrict the offer of the displayed objects in the Insert center according to specific criteria, you can optionally carry out a full-text search. To refine the search you can use logic operators, such as "AND" (Blank), "OR" (|), "NOT" (-) as well as the placeholder signs "*" and "?", in boxes when entering a search term. In addition you can search for exact characters by putting the search term in quotation marks. It is irrelevant whether you enter the search term in lower-case or upper-case letters. To search for objects which are assigned to a specific tag, you can also enter the special search term t:<Tag-Name> in the Find field.

Preconditions:

  • You have opened a project.
  • You have opened a project page in the graphical editor. Or you have opened a layout space in the graphical editor.
  • You have opened the Insert center.
  1. In the Find () field enter the desired search term and click [Input].

The entry Home > Search results is displayed in the breadcrumb trail.

The search result is displayed - grouped by object types - below the breadcrumb trail in the form of drop-down folders next to which the number of found hits is noted.
  2. Click the arrow button pointing downwards next to the folder of the desired object type.

The preview tiles of the determined objects are displayed below the object type and offered for insertion.
  3. If necessary, switch to the search result of another object type by opening the corresponding folder.
  4. To return to the standard view, click Home in the breadcrumb trail. The entered term remains in the Find field.

Note:

In the search result only the default variant of an object type is always displayed in the preview tile.
