For the current version the Excel interface in the EPLAN platform has been replaced. Nothing has changed for the actual export and import of data by means of this format. In comparison to older EPLAN versions, minor visual differences may occur if special technologies such as, for example, rule-based formatting or free illustration from MS Excel are used in the Excel templates used. The Excel file format *.xlsb is not supported anymore.
Benefit:
Thanks to the new interface it is now no longer necessary to install MS Excel on the computer on which you are working with EPLAN Platform. The output Excel files can now also be opened and edited in other Office products that can read the Excel format. Because the Excel files can be directly edited due to the new interface, a significant performance increase results for the Excel data exchange.
