Multilingual input

This functionality is only available to you in the EPLAN Platform.

When you create new elements in eBUILD, you can specify the names in several languages. This possibility exists for the following elements:

  • Macro-Typicals
  • Script-Typicals
  • Typical-Groups
  • Configurators
  • Displayed name of configuration variables

ClosedGeneral requirements
  • You have created an element for which multilingual input is supported.
  • You have specified a name for the element.

ClosedTranslate configuration variables
  1. Open the Configuration variables drop-down list.
  2. Open the Properties drop-down list.
  3. Click next to the Displayed name input box.
  4. Enter the desired translations for the name.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. The name is displayed in the input field in the user interface language that was set.

ClosedTranslate Typicals and configurators
  1. Click the popup menu next to the element.
  2. Click Translate.
  3. Enter the desired translations for the name.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. The name is displayed in the input field in the user interface language that was set.

Note

The number of languages that are available in the Multilingual input dialog depends on the project settings in the EPLAN platform.
