Braided Sleeves

Braided sleeves are a knitted protection of a bundle. In the braided sleeve-specific properties you can determine the braided sleeve's characteristics. The following properties are available:

Diameter

Diameter range of the braided sleeve application.

Knitted density

Density (in percent) of the knitted fabric.

Braid crossings p.i.

Number of crossings per inch.

Length correction

Length correction of the final length of a braided sleeve depending on the fill ratio intended for manufacturing purposes. The braided sleeve can depend on a material shortened by a percentage value defined in the Length correction property. The correction is 0 and the order length is unchanged, until the braided sleeve exceeds its minimum diameter (5 mm) and then progressively rises up to the length correction rate specified as the sleeve is filled up to its maximum diameter.

In the case of BS.000001 in the demo library, the library values are:
- Diameter range: 5-25 mm
- Length correction: 10%
When placed in a workspace or workdesk:
- Length: 200 mm
- Currently filled: 40%
Final length (=Order quantity in Reports, tables) = 200 (Legnth) * 0.4 (Currently filled) * 0.1 (Length correction) => Final length = 208 mm.
