Signal devices include the following types of objects:
- Data recorders
- Display devices
- Measuring instruments
- Acoustic signal devices
- Signal lamps
A 3D window is available for signal devices. It serves to model a 3D representation including pins for further use in the EPLAN Harness proD workspace.
It is also possible to create a 2D representation of a signal device.
It can then be used in the EPLAN Harness proD nailboard. The 2D window
is not active by default, but you can add it via the Add
2D function from the
Part menu or the 
button from the toolbar.
Note:
A connecting point is automatically created in the 2D window. The connecting point determines the position of the signal device's symbol in the nailboard.
Signal devices have the same properties as connectors, however - unlike connectors - signal devices' pins do not have the Pin designation property.
