Organization and company organization: Differences

The company organization is created by Eplan and automatically activated by the first user who creates an Eplan ID. We recommend that this be done by the license administrator of your company. |

| Be a member |
As soon as you sign in to the Eplan Cloud for the first time in the browser by creating an Eplan ID, you have the option to create an organization. However, you can also become a member of an organization by being invited by another user to join their organization. |
If you are not sure whether you are already a member of a company organization, open My settings > General > Organizations in the Eplan Cloud. Here, the organization type is displayed below the organization name. |
| Become a member | In the user management, you can invite anyone with a valid e-mail address to join your organization. |
The persons who can become a member are those who are invited to the company organization by the main administrator. In addition, the main administrator of the company organization has the possibility to invite users automatically into the company organization if they sign in with the customer number. |
| Create teams |
The Teams functionality is not available to you in the user management of an organization. |
The Teams functionality is available to you in the user management of a company organization if you have purchased your licenses with the subscription model. |
| Start installed Eplan solution | If you are only a member of an organization, you cannot use the installed Eplan solution. You must be a member of a company organization. | If you are a member of a company organization, you can use the installed Eplan solution. |
| Working in the installed Eplan solution |
In the installed Eplan solution, you always remain signed in with your company organization. However, you can still switch to another organization in the Eplan Cloud. |
