Formula Editor

The formula editor allows for determining values or displaying conditions for text. The properties offered in this editor are context-sensitive, i.e., the displayed properties depend on the location from where you opened the editor. If you open the formula editor, e.g., from the label decoration editor, label properties are available; if you open it from a connectable object symbol, then connector-specific, connectable object-specific and terminal properties are available, etc.

The formula editor shows which value must be used last to be able to define the formula:

  • If you opened the formula editor from a Display condition element, a Boolean value must be used last.
  • If you opened the formula editor from an External value element, a text value must be used last.
  • If you have defined several values in the formula editor, you can go back any number of steps by clicking any item. All previous items are then removed. For instance, if you have defined the Connectable object symbol > Connectable object > Lead time properties in the Connectable object symbol > External value formula, click the Connectable object item to remove the Lead time item.
