The following extensions have been realized for the individual breaking up of assemblies and modules for this version:
- Breaking up assemblies individually during the part selection
- Breaking up assemblies and modules individually during the manufacturing data export
Breaking up assemblies individually during the part selection
The possibility of breaking up assemblies by means of the user-specific setting Break up assembly during the part selection was originally the only possibility to break up assemblies into their components in bills of materials. However, the relationship between the assembly part and the individual components is lost in the process.
For some time there have been different possibilities for breaking up in bills of materials, such as the setting Break up assemblies in the project-specific settings for the part assemblies.
In order to prevent assemblies from being broken up unintentionally during the part selection, the user-specific setting Break up assembly has been moved from the Settings: Parts (user) dialog into the Assembly tab of the parts management. This way you can now specify individually for each assembly part whether it is to be broken up during the part selection or not.
If the Break up assembly check box is selected for an assembly part in the Part selection group box, this assembly will be broken up during a part selection. This also applies to the insertion of an assembly from the Insert center. The level up to which the assembly is broken up during the part selection can be set by using the Up to level check box, which has also been moved.
Breaking up assemblies and modules individually during the manufacturing data export
In the parts management you can now specify individually for each assembly and for each module whether this part is to be broken up or not during the export of manufacturing data / during the output of labeling data. To this purpose the Assembly and Module tabs in the parts management have been extended by the Part assemblies table with the new Manufacturing data (export) column. By means of the settings for this column you can specify whether the respective assembly or module is to be broken up or not during the manufacturing data export for the "Summarized parts list" and/or "Parts list" report.
The default value is the "From settings" option. In this case the setting that was specified in the settings dialog for the manufacturing data export is used. If you select a different option here, it overwrites the setting that was specified in the settings dialog.
As with the parts data export, you can also additionally specify during the manufacturing data export whether the supplemental parts contained in the assembly or in the module are to be taken into consideration when breaking up.
In the course of this extension the settings already existing on the tabs for the individual breaking up of an assembly or module in the "Summarized parts list" and "Parts list" reports were also transferred to the Part assemblies table and can be specified there by means of the Reports column.
