Dialog call:- Tab Master data > Command group Parts > Management. You have marked a part in the tree or list. Select the User-defined properties tab. Click [...] in the tab next to the Scheme field.

- Tab Master data > Command group Parts > Management. In the Parts management dialog you have opened a parts database using [Extras] > Settings. Button [Extras] > User-defined properties > Globally assign properties. In the Assign user-defined properties dialog, click [...] next to the Scheme field.
In this dialog you can create and edit schemes with user-defined properties for parts. You can assign such a scheme to one, several or all parts.
Overview of the main dialog elements:
Select the scheme that you wish to use or edit from the drop-down list. You can also use the adjacent toolbar for this purpose.
In this table you specify which user-defined properties are to be assigned. By using 
(New) you can select further user-defined properties and insert them into the table.
The respective names of the user-defined properties are displayed in the Identifying name and Displayed name columns. You can enter a value in the Value column. This value can still be overwritten at the part in the User-defined properties tab after the assignment.
Popup menu:
The popup menu provides - depending on the field type (e.g. date, integer, multilingual) - the following menu items that are, depending on the situation, available for influencing the table or editing the values in the fields. You can find an overview of these popup menu items in the section Popup menu items.
Assign automatically for new parts:
If this check box is activated, the respective scheme is assigned automatically to all new parts.
Note:
The schemes for assigning user-defined properties are managed user-specifically. In multi-user operation - i.e. when several users access the same parts database - the modifications to such a scheme are therefore not synchronized automatically. This means that other users do not see these modifications immediately. In multi-user operation we recommend managing these schemes centrally and making the schemes available to other users by exporting and importing in the dialog Configure schemes. The same behavior also applies analogously for the schemes for assigning free properties.
