Dialog call:Tab Master data > Command group Parts > Management. In the Parts management dialog you have opened a parts database using [Extras] > Settings. Button [Extras] > Configure write protection for properties.
In this dialog you select the properties for which a write protection is to exist. properties for which a write protection exists cannot be changed in the user interface and via external editing. However, such Properties can still be changed via an export and import in EDZ or XML format or via the Eplan API.
The values of write-protected properties are "grayed out" in the user interface. If you move the cursor over such a value, the "Configured read-only" tooltip is displayed.
Overview of the main dialog elements:
In this field, you can specify which properties should be set to read-only. By using 
(New) you can select further properties and insert them into the list. Use 
(Delete) to delete one or more selected properties from the list.
Furthermore the 
(Import) and 
(Export) buttons are available for the import and export of configurations for the write protection in the XML format.
Popup menu:
The popup menu provides - depending on the field type (e.g. date, integer, multilingual) - the following menu items that are, depending on the situation, available for influencing the table or editing the values in the fields. You can find an overview of these popup menu items in the section Popup menu items.
Tip:
In order to assign write protection to user-defined properties, please continue to use the Write-protected on the user interface check box in the Configure properties dialog.
