Determining Climate Control Solutions for Switch Gears with "Rittal - RiTherm"

For Rittal enclosures of the VX, TS and CS type you can use the "Rittal - RiTherm" interface to determine climate control solutions including suitable cooling and heating devices - both for the indoor and for the outdoor area. You can subsequently download the cooling and heating devices from the Data Portal and place them directly in the layout space. In addition, you can download a documentation in accordance with the machine guideline for the determined climate control solution.

Note:

To call up RiTherm, click Open in the RiTherm command group in Eplan Pro Panel in the Rittal tab of the ribbon.

Preconditions:

You have opened a project.
You have opened the layout space navigator and a layout space.
The layout space contains at least one enclosure.

Select the following commands: Tab Rittal > Command group RiTherm > Open.

RiTherm is displayed and informs you whether the layout space fulfills all the requirements.
If the layout space fulfills all the requirements, click Start calculation, and follow the instructions in RiTherm.

The data for the calculation properties in RiTherm (apart from voltage and frequency) are not taken from the project properties and enclosure properties in Eplan Pro Panel, but are either calculated in RiTherm (power dissipation) or have to be entered there (for example the internal temperature or the ambient temperature).
The total power dissipation determined in Eplan Pro Panel is not transferred automatically to RiTherm. If you do not want to carry out the calculation for determining the climate control solution with the power dissipation determined by RiTherm, you can alternatively enter the total power dissipation determined in Eplan Pro Panel manually in RiTherm.
For calculating the power dissipation in RiTherm, the power dissipation and the simultaneity factor have to be specified for each enclosure component in Eplan Pro Panel.
The air-conditioning fields in Eplan Pro Panel are called RiTherm zones. You define zones by inserting physical and virtual partitions in the course of the calculation process and thus displaying the installation situation.
