Generating Pages with Views Automatically

It is possible to automatically generate pages with model views, 2D drilling views and copper unfolds in projects with mechanical components in layout spaces.

Precondition:

You have opened a project. You have opened a project page in the graphical editor.

Create a model view, 2D drilling view or copper unfold.
Save the view as macros via the following commands: Tab Home > Command group Page > Drop-down button Page macro > Create.
Select the following commands: Tab Tools > Command group Reports > Model views.
In the Templates tab, click the button (New) to create a new template.
Enter suitable values in the properties of the template as described under Tab Templates (Dialog Model views, Copper unfolds, Drilling views).
Use the filter settings to specify the basic settings of which views are to be created and which hierarchically subordinate items are displayed in the view.
Enter the view saved as a macro in the Macro property.
Click the button (Generate report) or select the Generate report popup menu item in order to generate the automatic reports.

The pages with the reports are created on the basis of the settings in the template and with the selected macro.

Note:

When Reporting projects by means of the Generate project reports command, model views, 2D drilling views and copper unfolds are also automatically generated, in as far as the appropriate templates are available in the dialogs for the views (command path: Tab Tools > Command group Reports > Generate project reports). If these views already exist in the project, they are updated.
