Path function texts simplify the documentation, because you do not have to enter a function text for each component. These texts can be positioned anywhere within a schematic path and are evaluated when PLC cross-references are generated, in terminal diagrams, and in bills of materials.
If no other function text is entered for a component, the function text from the path will be used for reports.
