Dialog call:You have opened the insert center. Click the [...] button next to the drop-down list for the schemes.
In this dialog you can customize the insert center. You can use a scheme to specify which object type is to be displayed, configure the search for the insert center and restrict the objects displayed in the insert center depending on the page type.
Overview of the main dialog elements:
Select the scheme that you wish to use or edit from the drop-down list. You can also use the adjacent toolbar for this purpose.
Tabs "Symbols" / "Devices" / "Window macros / symbol macros"
In these tabs, you carry out the settings for customizing the insert center for the respective object type ("Symbols", "Devices" and "Window macros / symbol macros").

If this check box is activated, the objects of the respective object type are displayed in the insert center.
If the check box is deactivated, the objects of the respective object type are not displayed in the insert center. This applies to all folders such as Favorites, Tags and also to the Recent folder. In this case, you cannot make any further settings in the tab.
This has no effect on the search. Here, the objects of an object type that is not displayed are nevertheless displayed as matches. To limit the scope of the search, use the buttons next to the search field (for example 
Search in symbols).
If this check box is activated, the search proceeds via the properties that were specified during the configuration of the search. The properties configured for the respective object type are displayed in the field next to the check box.
Click [...] to open the Configure search dialog. There, you can specify the properties and sequence in which the search is to be carried out. To this purpose, different properties are available for each object type (for example Symbol description, Part number, Macro: file name).
If the check box is deactivated, all properties of the respective object type are searched for.

The filters set for different page types are displayed in the respective table. You can define individual filters for the different page types by means of specific properties as filter criteria. This way, the displayed quantity of objects in the insert center can be reduced to a useful, manageable quantity.
- Page type: This column lists the page types (schematic multi-line, schematic single-line, fluid power schematic, etc.) for which filters can be defined.
- Filter: This column shows you whether a filter has been defined for a page type. By means of [...], you can branch to the Filter dialog and create or edit a filter for a page type there.
Depending on the object type, different properties are available as filter criteria (for symbols, for example, the Symbol library property; for macros, for example, the Macro: Representation type property).
Tips:
- In order to filter the different object types by assigned tags you can use the Tags property for symbols and devices and the Macro: Tags property for window macros / symbol macros as a filter criterion.
- For window and symbol macros you can use the Macro is referenced by a part property as a filter criterion. This way, all macros that are used in the devices and that are therefore already displayed in the Devices folder are filtered out for the Window macros / symbol macros folder.
- A defined filter displayed in the Filter column can be copied in a cell and reinserted for a different page type.
You use a filter for the "Schematic multi-line" page type in which, among other things, symbols from the IEC_symbol symbol library are filtered. On the other hand, a filter is set for P&I diagram pages in which only symbols from the PID_ESS symbol library are permitted. If you have opened a multi-line page and search for a "multi-line" symbol (for example XF2), a match is displayed for the multi-line page. If you then switch to a P&I diagram page, no match is displayed for the previously executed search.
Only available for devices. If this check box is activated, the 
"Data Portal" icon is displayed in the insert center.
If the check box is deactivated, the "Data Portal" icon is hidden in the insert center.
If a search is also carried out in the Eplan Data Portal because of the scope of the search (for example 
Search all), the matches in the Data Portal are only displayed if the check box is also activated.
