In order to more easily assign schemes with user-defined properties to the parts in the parts management, some improvements have been made for this version. The new User-defined properties menu item is available in the parts management below the [Extras] button for the different old and new functionalities for user-defined properties.
Schemes for user-defined properties also available outside the part view
You can now also edit the schemes for user-defined properties independently of a part, meaning that you do not have to open the User-defined properties tab for a part. To do so, select the new User-defined properties > Configure schemes menu items in the parts management below the [Extras] button. The configuration dialog for the schemes has been renamed to Configure schemes as part of this extension.
Assign schemes with user-defined properties automatically to all parts
Two extensions have been introduced so that you can automatically assign user-defined properties either only to the new parts or to all the parts:
- The new Assign automatically for new parts check box is available in the Configure schemes configuration dialog. If this check box is activated, the respective scheme is assigned automatically to all new parts. If the check box is activated for all schemes, the assignment is carried out for all schemes.
- It is also possible to assign the user-defined properties of a scheme to all parts in the parts management. To this purpose, use [Extras] > User-defined properties > Globally assign properties to open the new Assign user-defined properties dialog, and select the scheme with the user-defined properties to be assigned. Please note that this action cannot be undone.
