Dialog Settings: Display

You have opened a project. File > Settings > Projects > "Project name" > Cross-references / contact image > Display.

In this dialog, you define which cross-references to other page types are to be displayed and in what sequence for each of the different page types.

Display device cross-references:

In the table columns, you specify the representation types for which a cross-reference is to be displayed at the main function. To this purpose, use the drop-down list in the table cells of the respective column to specify where the cross-reference points to (i.e. to which other representation type).

To display cross-references to various other representation types and to reports at a multi-line function on a multi-line schematic page, select, for example, the following entries in the table cells of the Multi-line column:

  • The "Overview" setting allows you to display cross-references at main functions in the schematic that reference the same functions on an overview page.
  • The "Panel layout" setting allows cross-references between main functions in the schematic and placed parts on a Mounting panel to be created.
  • The "Device tag list" setting creates cross-references between main functions in the schematic and the respective devices in the Device tag list.

Only show first cross-reference of each representation type:

Select this check box if the cross-references for the individual representation types should not be displayed in the form of a list but only the cross-reference of the first entered part. If the check box is deselected, then the lists are displayed.

Display overview cross-references:

In this group box you can specify the following settings:

  • From overview to schematic: Select this check box if cross-references from overviews to schematic pages are to be possible.

  • From schematic to overview: Select this check box if cross-references from schematics to overview pages are to be possible.

  • At supply connection points: Select this check box if cross-references at supply connection points are to be possible as well.

You use these settings, for instance, to display PLC cross-references between PLC connection points in the schematic and overview.
