Selecting Objects

For the selection, rotation and panning of objects in the workspace / workdesk working window, a so-called "selection pointer" is used.

To select a single object, right-click on it. To select several objects at once, right-click on the desired objects while simultaneously pressing the [Ctrl] key.

To rotate the current view, move the mouse into any direction while simultaneously pressing the [Shift] key and the middle mouse button. The camera rotates around the camera target. By default, the camera target is positioned in the center of the current camera view. In case the mouse pointer is positioned on an object, the target is temporarily moved to the center of the bounding sphere of the object.

To pan the current view, move the mouse into any direction while pressing the middle mouse button. The whole scene including the grid and all objects moves within the mouse.

Note:

Clicking with the left-hand mouse button while holding the [Alt] key opens an object selection dialog. Here, the parts of the object are listed. Clicking an item in the list selects it. The Show all button toggles the visibility of the items related to the object.
