The following description applies to connectors, connectable objects, terminals, leading parts, clips, grommets, general parts, backshells, connector housings, assemblies, and devices. If a part is placed on another part, a constraint is created.
- Select the Insert > Place <component> menu items or the corresponding button on the main toolbar.
The Part navigator dialog is opened. - Select the desired part and click [OK].
- Left-click to place the part freely.
Or, in the command bar, enter the coordinates and click [OK] to place the part. - Determine the Angle value and click one of the Rotate buttons, or press the [R] shortcut key to rotate the part.
- If the part has a coordinate system in its 3D window, it can be placed onto existing coordinates in the workspace / workdesk: Lock either one of the X, Y, Z axes.
- Determine a negative / positive direction of the X, Y, Z axes.
- Move the coordinate system of the part over the existing one and left-click to place the part.
- In the workspace / workdesk working window, move the part over another one.
The part is snapped to surfaces, edges, circles, and arcs. - Left-click to place the part.
The part is placed and a constraint created.
