Unrouting Selected Objects

The Unroute command is used to unroute selected source objects from all the target objects through which they are routed.

Source objects are all objects which can be pulled through target objects. They include wires, rapid prototype wires, cables, empty cables, rapid prototype cables, bundles, surface protections, looms, wrap tapes, and flexible tubing. The target objects include bundles and all types of surface protections.

The Unroute function is a "one-step" function: it removes the selected source objects from all the target objects through which they are routed. You have to repeat the command to remove other source objects from other target objects.

If there are any control points (or labels or cable ties) on the source objects before you unroute them from a target object, they will be lost after the objects are unrouted.

  1. Select the objects to be unrouted from the target object.

All selectable objects are highlighted when you move the mouse over them.
  2. Select the Tools > Unroute menu items or the button on the toolbar.
  3. Finish the selection by right-clicking.

All the selected source objects are unrouted from all the target objects through which they were routed.
  4. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Unroute button again, if desired.

Note:

The Unroute command is also available in the popup menu once you select any source objects and right-click.
