Placing Spider Diagrams

A spider diagram displays all the wires connected to a special component including information on internal pins and the wires which are connected to them.

The location of the diagram and the individual lines can be changed with the handlers (black squares). Click on the diagram and drag the center handler or any of the lines to move it. Use the handlers at the ends of the lines to change the position of these lines.

In the Advanced section of the properties panel you can determine the length of the spider legs and also assign descriptive notes to the Pin name and Wire name properties (default) or any others.

  1. Select the Insert > Spider diagram menu items or the button on the toolbar.
  2. Select the special component (if not preselected) for which you want to place the diagram by clicking.
  3. Click anywhere in the working window to place the diagram (usually next to the special component), or enter the X and Y coordinates of the diagram's center in the command bar.
  4. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Place spider diagram button again, if desired.
